Opening Ceremony Of “Semi-Sub” HUET Pool At PVD Training
The HUET swimming pool construction has come to an end after six months of smooth execution and excellent operation. Prior to the pool coming to operation, a Grand Opening Ceremony was taken place On January 20th 2014 to officially announce it has been ready for its mission to come. The ceremony includes Announcement of Board of Management, Speeches of Guest of Honor and a tour of the distinguished pool. It was followed by a warm reception – a remarkable year-end dinner of 2013 as well.
Attending this remarkable ceremony was the presence of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Vice-President of PV Drilling, Director of PVD Drilling Division cum Chairman of PVD Training; Mr. Tran Van Hoat, Vice-President of PV Drilling; Board of Management and distinguished guests of various companies in the industry and of course the presence of representatives from the Contractors of the Project. At the ceremony, Mr. Bui Thanh Van, PVD Training’s Director was pleased to deliver the Certificates of Recognition to Bao Anh Construction Co. Ltd, International Construction Consultancy J.S.C. and Ba Ria – Vung Tau Construction Quality Consultant J.S.C. in their honors for the excellent services while performing the construction of the HUET pool in terms of quality, safety and timing as planned.
As an addition to the current swimming pool of 72 square meters used in Sea Survival & Safety Training, this new swimming pool is designed by PVD Training Board of Director to be in an L-shape of volume of around 375 cubed meters with the deep end up to 4 meters. The pool is also furnished with two HUET simulators to illustrate offshore rescue circumstances as realistically as possible; under a shelter and surrounded by integrated office space of 650 square meters. Office space is designed with several functioned rooms including two training rooms, Sauna and Rejuvenation center, locker rooms, two equipment storages, tech support room for pool & training operations and an office.
Moreover, one unique feature of the pool to be highlighted is the underwater glass windows providing an ultimate view into the swimming pool below the water’s surface. The glass window offers invaluable aids in observation during training and underwater photography; and is a statement of stylish design to the aquatic facility as well. The Director has been thrilled to name this exclusive facility “Semi-submersible” swimming pool, a second-to-none in the safety training industry nation-wide.
The HUET pool is meant for the ultimate purpose of safety training, in particular , thus to contribute to the development of Oil & Gas vocational training in general to meet the rising demands of nationwide and global customers.
