Online Drilling Training – 24/7 Access To International Oil & Gas Certification
|The world we are living in has moved rapidly through tremendous technological revolutions over the past few decades. As one of the technology-lead industries, Oil & Gas entities urge to apply technology-based approaches in everyday exploration and production activities. Not only in operations, emerging technology in professional training and development has also become a common trend within organizations to raise productivity and lower costs.ONLINE TRAINING approach is a resolution for the demand of integrating technology into traditional training.
The single most important benefit of online training is allowing not only access 24/7 anywhere in the world there is a broadband connection, but enabling training to be truly flexible, able to fit the busiest of candidate schedules.
Last year, PVD Training has launched 150 safety & technical training online courses including OPITO IMIST. This year, we’ve shifted our focus on Technical Drilling by introducing an electronic portal to including Understanding Rig Inspection, Understanding Drilling Equipment, IWCF Level 2, and Understanding Dropped Objects. Courses are fully accredited by the IADC and IWCF.
|Courses are aimed to graduated engineers and personnel whose roles would be enhanced by gaining a foundational understanding of the drilling environment.
Understanding Rig Inspection is designed to equip candidates with a comprehensive appreciation of the importance of inspections, their scope, the industry standards that apply, and the resulting benefits to asset output and safety. This is the first e-learning Customized Award to be credit rated on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).
Understanding Drilling Equipment is comprised of eight modules which will lead you step by step through the equipment and techniques in oilfield development. That course is designed for all personnel whose roles will be made safer and effective through having a level of understanding of the drilling equipment.
Understanding Dropped Objects focuses on successfully managing Dropped Objects in the Oil and Gas Industry. It gives candidates an understanding and education of Dropped Objects and their consequences, how to assess the risks and apply the hierarchy of control measures required to prevent dropped objects.
IWCF Level 2 Drilling Well Control is a mandatory prerequisite for anyone who requires a Driller or Supervisor Well Control Certificate. All members of Wellsite Operations team that directly contributes to the creation, detection or control of a well influx are expected to have completed an accredited (eg IWCF/IADC) well control course at Level 2.
